Customer Reviews

Great book if you want to learn the fundamentals and new features of XCode 4.2, ios5. It is easy to
understand and the author gives you clear, simple and effective samples of code with step by step
views of how to setup a project with interface builder. Well worth the $9.99!

Not 12 hours after I posted the original review (below) I was contacted by the author and furnished with a revised version of the e-book that fixed the typos that I mentioned. Fantastic! My 4 star review has been upgraded to 5 stars, I believe the revised version is what is for sale now, so this is great.
By the way, I am a fairly experienced but strictly amateur html/php programmer, and this book took me from never having seen XCode to doing some pretty fancy stuff in about 20 hours of work. I'm really happy with it.
Original Review:
I have been using this book for a few days and generally love it, but I have come across a few typos. When these are in the code examples it can be a killer. I am using the Kindle version of the book, so I don't have page numbers, but there is a line of code in Chapter 20, section 20.4 that says:
import "pageViewViewController.h"
that should say:
import "pageAppViewController.h"
That one slowed me down with error messages for a while. I know this book was probably rushed out as iOS 5 is pretty new, but hopefully these get cleaned up and revised. If anyone sees any others and can post them here that would be a huge help.
